Jason Flom
Jason Flom is the Co-Founder and CEO of Lava Media and Lava for Good Podcasts, Adweek’s 2024 Podcast Network of the Year. Flom has served as Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Records, Virgin Records, and Capitol Music Group, where he launched global superstars including Tori Amos, The Corrs, Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, Katy Perry, Kid Rock, Lorde, and Greta Van Fleet. He is a leading philanthropist and expert on criminal justice issues, internationally-recognized public speaker, and a published author. Flom is a founding board member of the Innocence Project and serves on the boards of numerous criminal justice reform organizations. His hit podcast series Wrongful Conviction, featuring interviews with men and women who have spent decades in prison for crimes they claim they did not commit, has been downloaded over 60 million times.
He has been honored with the Torch of Liberty from the ACLU, The Innocence Project's Award for Freedom and Justice, the Spirit of Life Award, the Frederick Douglass Human Rights" Award from the Southern Center for Human Rights, the Sentinel of Freedom Award from the Foundation for Criminal Justice, the After Now Service Award from the NYU Prison Education Program, a Clio Music Impact Award for his work in criminal justice reform, and the Muhammad Ali Lifetime Achievement Award, among others.
Flom’s love for animals inspired the children’s book Lulu is a Rhinoceros, co-written with his daughter Allison Flom, which launches as an animated television series on premium streaming services in 2025.
