“I became a UJC Student Ambassador because I am deeply passionate about raising awareness and supporting families of incarcerated individuals, as well as those who are incarcerated themselves. This cause is personal to me, as I come from a family affected by incarceration. As an African American woman, I've also witnessed the struggles within my community, exacerbated by discrimination and systemic challenges. I want to be a source of support and positive change. Additionally, I have a strong interest in media and communications, and I hope to use my skills to inform, empower, and uplift my community.”
